Pickup & Delivery Terms

By booking a collection or delivery with Brasp Express Courier & Light Haulage, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms help us provide a safe, efficient and reliable transport service for all our customers.

Address & Contact Information

Please provide the full collection and delivery addresses, including correct postcodes and contact telephone numbers.

For rural properties, farms, yards or locations that may be difficult to find, please also provide clear directions or a useful point of reference.

Customers can use what3words to find and share the precise location, or alternatively send us a Google Maps/GPS location pin.

A what3words location is particularly useful where the entrance, gate, yard or collection point is different from the postal address.

Incorrect or incomplete information may cause delays and, where additional mileage or waiting time is required, may result in additional charges.

Collection

Our service is door-to-door transportation. Items must therefore be accessible and ready for loading when we arrive.

We do not normally collect items from inside houses, buildings, sheds or rear gardens unless this has been specifically agreed with us in advance.

For ride-on mowers, lawn tractors and similar machinery:

• The machine must be ready for collection and accessible to our vehicle and trailer.
• The fuel tank should be empty or contain only enough fuel to start and manoeuvre the machine for loading and unloading.
• Tyres should be adequately inflated.
• Please tell us before collection if the machine does not start, drive, steer or brake normally.
• If the machine is non-running, assistance may be required to safely load or unload it unless alternative arrangements have been agreed beforehand.

Any unusual access conditions, non-running machinery, oversized items or other special requirements must be disclosed and agreed before collection.

Delivery

Your item will be transported with appropriate care and securely loaded for transportation.

Our service finishes at the agreed door-to-door delivery point. Once the item has been safely unloaded or, in the case of a trailer, disconnected, the recipient is responsible for moving, driving or pushing the item to its final position.

The recipient should inspect the item at delivery and notify us of any visible concerns before signing the Proof of Delivery.

Signing the Proof of Delivery confirms that the item has been received and records its apparent condition at the time of delivery. This does not affect any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable UK law.

Payment

For local collections and deliveries within approximately 10 miles of our base, payment may be accepted on delivery where agreed at the time of booking.

For journeys outside this local area, full payment is normally required before collection, payable by bank transfer when the booking is confirmed.

Any alternative payment method or arrangement must be agreed with us before the booking is confirmed.

Collection & Delivery Times

Because we normally complete multiple collections and deliveries on the same run, we cannot guarantee an exact collection or delivery time unless specifically agreed in advance.

Once the route has been organised, we will normally provide an ETC — Estimated Time of Collection — or ETA — Estimated Time of Arrival — where possible, at least one day beforehand.

On the day of collection or delivery, we can also provide approximately 30 minutes' notice by telephone or text message, if requested.

Traffic, road closures, weather conditions, delays at previous collections or deliveries and other circumstances outside our reasonable control can affect estimated times.

If there is a significant delay, we will endeavour to contact the customer by telephone or text message with an updated ETC or ETA.

Please therefore keep an eye on your telephone on the day of collection or delivery.

Waiting Time & Access

Please ensure that the item, access and relevant person are ready when we arrive.

Our routes are organised around relatively short collection and delivery windows. Delays caused by inaccessible items, unavailable contacts, incorrect addresses or circumstances that were not disclosed when booking may affect the remainder of our scheduled route.

Where appropriate, excessive waiting time, additional mileage, a failed collection or a required second visit may result in an additional charge.

Cancellations & Failed Collections

If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where a collection has already been scheduled as part of a transport run, significant changes or late cancellations may result in a charge, particularly where mileage, route planning or other costs have already been incurred.

If we arrive at the agreed collection point and the item cannot be collected because it is unavailable, inaccessible, substantially different from the description provided, or the collection contact is unavailable, the journey may be treated as a failed collection and additional charges may apply.

Any cancellation or rebooking arrangements will be discussed with you based on the circumstances of the booking.

Accurate Item Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the item being transported.

This includes, where applicable, the make, model, approximate dimensions, condition and whether the machine is running or non-running.

Photographs should accurately show the item and any relevant access or loading considerations.

If the item is significantly different from the information supplied when the quote was provided, we reserve the right to revise the price or, where safe transportation is not reasonably possible with the equipment available, decline the collection.

Special Arrangements

Any special requirements must be discussed and agreed before collection or delivery.

This includes restricted access, narrow roads, gated properties, loading assistance, non-running machinery, unusual dimensions, specific timing requirements or anything else that could affect safe collection or delivery.
